Following the example of the international conferences of the IHEA (International Health Economics Association) and the EuHEA (European Health Economics Association), we want to contribute to the exchange of knowledge and networking in terms of the ATHEA conference. The conference is aimed at researchers from Austria but also neighbouring countries and has a changing general theme. The general theme is reflected in two guest lectures and a panel discussion, which traditionally takes place on the evening before, intended to promote the discourse between science and politics. As the conference aims to provide space for the diversity of health economics research in Austria, work on all health economic topics is welcome. For the guest lectures, outstandingly renowned scientists from abroad are regularly invited.
